Scott Health and Safety is a world class provider of personal protective products with considerable heritage in the provision of innovative respiratory, head and face protection solutions.
With European manufacturing locations in Skelmersdale (UK) and Vaasa (Finland) the company has a wide customer base throughout Europe, Middle East, Africa, and the Asian sub-continent (EMAA). Scott Health and Safety has specific expertise in oil and gas, military, asbestos, pharmaceutical, fire, and other industrial markets.
The UK business was established in 1965, and the Finnish operation in 1939. Both sites today employ around 350 staff. With the backing of Tyco International and, being part of the global Scott Health and Safety structure, the Scott Europe plants have access to a vast array of international resources and support, yet still provide its customer base with local knowledge and service.
Selling under the 3 major brands of Scott, Protector, and Sabre, the company has established premium products for its priority sectors. Some examples are 1st Base, Promask, and Proflow for Industry, Propak for the professional firefighters, Phantom and Powerpak for the asbestos removal sector, Elsa for the marine market, Flite and Contour for use in oil and gas applications, and GSR/M95 masks for the military/ civil defence arena.
Recently developed products include Zone, a completely new range of hearing protection launched under the Protector Brand Name. Scott Health and Safety have recently launched the new Advanced Carrying System ( ACS). Developed after considerable research and investment, ACS is set to become the industry standard carrier for SCBA in the marine, industrial and fire environments.
Training and technical support
At Scott Health and Safety , we firmly believe in the provision of locally based training and have qualified training officers for each of our Sales Regions.
A central technical support department is based in our Skelmersdale facility, booking training courses, reviewing certification, and producing training material. We also have a purpose built training suite to cater for all training needs (PIC OF TRAINING SUITE)
